A striking blend of Northern Michigan cottage and artful modern aesthetic awaits guests staying at this 4 bedroom/4 bath beautifully updated home with a 5th bedroom/5th bath guest house (available May 1 – January 1). The main house sleeps 7; with guest house, the property sleeps 9. The home includes WiFi, gas BBQ, and a fenced-in area for one dog. Both properties overlook Lake Michigan and offer beach access.

As you arrive at this home surrounded by white fencing, the expansive front porch greets you with inviting wicker furnishings and porch swing. There is enough seating for all guests in comfort for sunrise or sunset viewing or anytime in between. Entering the home off the expansive & raised back deck, which joins the guest house, you pass through the entry alcove with fully-equipped laundry facilities. As you enter the sleek kitchen with large butcher-block cooking island and curved granite peninsula with seating for two. There is an additional dining nook with a table seating four and another lake view. The
cozy living room & gathering area includes seating centered around a handsome stone gas fireplace and a large flat-screen TV. On the porch side of the living area, through tall windows, you will find another view of Lake Michigan. Beyond the living area, through a linen hall and glass doors, is a surprising dining room/porch furnished with an amazing 12-foot table and matching bench seating. This ideal dining area overlooks the rear deck and wooded backyard. From this room and the back alcove, guests can access the large & inviting back deck and the guest house.

Every bedroom in this stunning cottage home offers pleasant views of the surrounding woods or Lake Michigan. On the main level are two queen rooms, each with its own full bath, and one twin room with a full bath accessible through a connecting linen room. queen bedroom at the back of the home opens out to the back deck. An inviting office offers space to catch up on email or browse the web over the wireless network. The office faces the front of the house and offers great lake views.
On the second level is the master king, an extraordinary oasis with its cedar plank walls and skylight and warm furnishings. The gracious master bathroom features an expansive double sink vanity with incredible lighting and awesome tiled shower with a second skylight. Off the bedroom are French doors opening to a private balcony, a lovely spot for intimate lake-gazing.
The charming guest house has a queen bed and bath. This warm and relaxing space is great for a couple, offering a secluded retreat from the activity of the main house.

This is a dog-friendly property with an enclosed front yard; however, pets must be placed in a crate when guests are not at home or on the property.

In winter, great downhill skiing at Boyne Highlands and Nubs Nob is close by, along with miles and miles of groomed cross-country and snow-shoeing trails. Summertime brings days perfect for boating, kayaking and swimming in our Pure Michigan beaches and state parks.

My friends and I greatly enjoyed our stay. The house was clean and comfortable. We especially liked the fabulous kitchen amenities (Viking range) as we prepared several meals. The upstairs room was particularly well appointed, with a heated floor in the bathroom and a private balcony. The views of lake Michigan were amazing. The front porch was warm even through the temperature was in the 30's due to a plastic screen. Finally, the location was perfectly situated just outside of Harbor Springs, but still very close to Nubs Nob and Boyne Highlands. Overall, we all very much recommend this cozy house.

MINIMUM AGE REQUIREMENT:  Rental age minimum is 27 and for all adults staying at this property.
DEPOSIT AND PAYMENTS: 50% of your reservation is due within 7 days of your reservation. The total is due 30 days prior to your check-in date. If you have a credit card on file it will be charged automatically unless other payment arrangements are made. Please review your reservation and make sure all the information including check-in and check-out dates are correct.
CANCELLATION: There is a $200.00 cancellation fee for any cancellation notification received more than 45 days prior to occupancy. There are no refunds if the reservation is canceled less than 45 days prior to the arrival date. .
RATES: Rates, terms and applicable taxes are subject to change without notice.
DAMAGE PROTECTION INSURANCE: If applicable, the purchase of Rental Unit Damage Protection Insurance covers unintentional damages to the rental unit interior/exterior that may occur during your stay, provided they are disclosed to management prior to check-out. The policy will pay a maximum benefit of $1,500. Any damages that exceed $1,500 will be charged to the credit card on file. If, during your stay at one of our Rental Properties, a Guest causes any damage to real or personal property of the unit as a result of inadvertent acts or omissions, the Insurer will reimburse us for the cost of repair or replacement of such property up to a maximum benefit of $1,500. Certain terms and conditions apply. Full details of the Rental Unit Damage Protection coverage are contained in the Certificate of Insurance or Insurance Policy. By submitting payment for this plan, you authorize and request Travel Guard to pay directly to our company any amount payable under the terms and conditions of the Rental Unit Damage Protection Insurance.
CHECK IN AND CHECK OUT: The rental period begins at 4:00 p.m. on the day of arrival and terminates at 10:00 a.m. on the day of departure, unless prior arrangements have been made. Early check ins or late departures will incur an extra charge of an additional days rental. The properties are professionally cleaned and inspected before and after each rental to ensure that all guests have a clean comfortable stay. Please be thoughtful of renters who may be checking in on the same day that you checkout.
DAMAGE AND CLEANING ISSUES: Any damage or cleaning issues noticed upon arrival should be reported to the management immediately. If damage or cleaning issues are not reported within 3 hours of your arrival, your credit card may be charged for the cost of the repair. All general maintenance issues should also be reported so the unit can be kept in good repair. You must contact the management to address any cleaning issues within 3 hours of your arrival. You will not incur any additional charges if the following items are adhered to:
No damage is done to the unit or its content including the linens.
No items are missing upon the inventory check.
All debris, garbage and discards are placed in proper containers.
All soiled dishes are placed in the dishwasher.
There was no exceeding the maximum occupancy of the unit.
There was no smoking or evidence of smoking in a designated non-smoking unit.
Unit is left in neat condition.
Pet friendly units show no sign of pet damage or excessive cleaning
If you experience any problems whatsoever with the vacation property during your stay, please contact us and we will do our best to rectify the matter as soon as it is practically possible. Should a problem remain unresolved, you are required to notify us in writing within 7 days of your return. No action can be taken or liability accepted for any complaints received after this period. We aim to resolve complaints within a two month period from receipt, the details of which will be kept confidential to only the parties involved.
NO SMOKING: Smoking is not allowed in any of our units. Smoking is not allowed outside by any open window/door, on patio, deck or grounds.
SEVERE WEATHER: We do not refund rents or deposits lost due to cancelled or shortened stays because of weather. Departures due to inclement weather do no warrant refund of rent or deposit.
